So many cats, so little time

Right... know it's been a few months and I stopped updating rather abruptly.  Have a lot to catch up on.  Plan on doing one post per Gang. We're now on Gang 6!!! So yes, a lot to cover.

Anyway going back to Gang 2.  They were quite the handful.  6 of them in all.  Had them till 28-Nov.  They went through a kilo of food a day.  They put on weight so fast.

Anywhere he's some pics of them doing kitten stuff.  Had so many photos of these guys as they were terribly entertaining and ridiculous.  Here's a few of my favorites.

Artemis I snoozing her ass off

Crazy face Waitress I.  If we kept her, she'd be named Bane.

Carmen I aka Tranny.  She was the sweetest of the bunch.

Sweet Dee II.. umm...

Carmen I being awesome

Didn't get weigh out photos unfortunately as Autumn had to pack them up to go back to the CPL while I was at work.  From what we heard they all were adopted out within 3 days.  Hope at least a couple of them were adopted along with a sibling.

So will go through Gang 3 tomorrow.  Stay tuned!

How Common Are Habitable Planets? One in Five Sun-Like Stars May Have Earth-Size, Potentially Habitable Planets

Nov. 4, 2013 — NASA's Kepler space telescope, now crippled and its four-year mission at an end, nevertheless provided enough data to answer its main research question: How many of the 200 billion stars in our galaxy have potentially habitable planets?

Movin' right along. Footloose and fancy-free. Getting there is half the fun; come share it with me.

A week later and we're already done with the first lot and on to the second.  Susan who runs the WCPL was very impressed we fattened Gang I up so quickly and swapped us for a litter of six.  All female!  Going to have to reach into the bevy of recurring characters to find suitable names for Gang II since there are no males this time.

First thing's first.  Have a few pics of Gang I and their final weigh-ins right before departure.  In the week they were here they warmed up to us immensely (despite having a couple baths).  Even shy Sweet Dee the First came around.  They all have funny personalities and shouldn't be any trouble to adopt out.

Dennis I - 890g

Mac I - 1.2kg

Sweet Dee I - 1.06kg

First bath for Mac I

Mac I and Dennis I male bonding

Sweet Dee I sharpening her claws on driftwood.  She's freaking lethal.

Now Vogue!  Gang I, you are gone but not forgotten.  Hope you find good homes.

Now let's get to Gang II!!!!

Artemis I - 630g

Carmen I - 670g

Mrs Mac I - 660g

Sweet Dee II - 740g

Waitress I - 650g

Maureen Ponderosa I - 720g

The Gang II - Day 1

Hey sorry. I... I don't want any trouble guys.  (backs away slowly)

From what Susan told us, they've had zero human contact and have spent their short lives up till now crated up. Think they'll come along quick.  Already noticed a couple are being a bit adventurous wandering away from their sisters and approaching our other cats.

Day 2: Electric Boogaloo

After a full 24 hours we have already established they prefer the raw chicken medallions over the dry food they were getting.  Mac the First is definitely the bad ass of the group. He shows little fear and seems quite proficient in the martial arts.

Round 1

Our first transients!  All from the same litter.

Dennis I - 650g

Mac I - 980g

Sweet Dee I - 900g

Based their weight looks like we're only going to have these guys a couple weeks at most before their ready to get de-sexed and adopted out.

Doesn't look like they've had much human interaction yet.  Dennis and Mac are really playful and don't seem to mind us.  Sweet Dee is the shy one. So far all she's done is bury herself in a blanket.  Think she's tried to hiss at us a couple times when we've gotten within a couple feet, but she doesn't seem able to make the sound yet.

The Gang - Day 1

New shit has come to light!

The day has arrived.  Back in Feb when we adopted our snow white wampa, Lumi from the Wellington Cats Protection League, Autumn and I said we'd be happy to foster kittens if they needed our help.  This morning Autumn received an email and the rest is history.

From the amount of litters being born, there's going to be a steady supply of 'forever' kittens coming in and out of our house for the next several months.  Enjoy!
